Large Items

In communities where we do NOT provide a large item recycling program you may set out one large item each quarter with no prior notice.

If you have many large items, please notify us ahead of your scheduled collection day. In some cases It MAY be necessary to schedule two collection days, but there is no charge for this service.

If you are a member of the R4R Rewards for Recycling program there may be a special Large Items Re-use and Recycling program available for you to use. In such cases we ask you to go to the My Municipality box on the Home page, click on My Community and click on the Large Items icon for information on this very special program. We are introducing a special new program on a community by community basis, commencing in the second quarter of 2010. The program will ensure that your large items will be re-used, or otherwise recycled, whichever provides the program with the best possible end use scenario.

Please support this program, because if you are fortunate enough to be able to discard items of value in these trying times, you should use this program to donate them to the less fortunate members of our R4R communities. A more detailed description as to how this program works is available if you click on the Rewards for Recycling entry in the My Account box on the Home page. We ask you to check it out and try to utilize this service whenever you wish to discard valuable household items such as large and small appliances, furniture and children's toys, they will be used to brighten someone's day.
